PRESIDENTS REPORT

I hope everyone enjoyed the Change Over.  It was great to see that the Cowell Lions attended with such good numbers.  We will definitely have to make another visit later in the year.  It was also good to see the Whyalla Lions attending.  Thanks must go to Jim and Graeme for their well versed and professional touch on the night.

Thanks also to DVW, Graeme and Tony for Sunday’s cleanup and retrieval of all the gear.

Mandy and Adrian together with their wonderful staff, fantastic food and background music provided by Alison and Mark all made for a fantastic night.

Now to the business of Lions:-

Jessop-White Park Opening was a great day with a good crowd in attendance.  Our chips and donuts were popular with the crowd even though there were free sausages, tea and coffee.  Lucky we were asked to sell drinks as no one else was! Three of us were kept busy for 90% of the time.

Looking ahead we have The Whyalla Show coming up which is always a busy time for us, so  please, even if it is only for a couple of hours help is required to man the Dutch Shed and Vans, or even just assisting  with setting up on the Friday night and the clean-up on Sunday every little bit helps.

I have kicked around a few ideas and have been given ideas from others and so with a bit of luck we will put them to the test and hopefully this will make for some exciting times ahead.
