Lion Jim, joined Whyalla Mount Laura Lions 22nd September, 1987,
sponsored by Rex Mettner and has held an active position within the
club every year since joining.
He
has been and still is a close advisor and mentor to members taking a
position in the club.
Lion Jim has served Whyalla Mount Laura as President on two
occasions, Fundraising Chairman, Activity Chairman , Bulletin Editor
and on Conventions Hosted in Whyalla. At District, has served as
Zone Chairman, Region Chairman and presently as Vice District
Governor and taking on the position as District Governor in
2007—2008.
Since the formation of the Whyalla Gift Foundation, Jim has been
actively involved promoting the Youth and Sports persons of Whyalla.
Your advice and assistance to many of us has been invaluable and is
one of the reasons why our Club has remained strong and energetic.
